Restart a Heart!! – sign up for an awareness session at Calne Town Hall on Wednesday 4th August by emailing calne@calne.gov.uk to register. The first session will start at 5pm.
The availability of defibrillators can help to save lives. Calne Town now has five community defibrillators at Phelps Parade by Iceland, outside Colemans Farm Community Centre, outside Bremhill View Social Club, outside Quemerford Post Office and Stores and outside The Recreation Club at the Recreation Ground.
A defibrillator is a device used to give an electric shock to help restart a patient’s heart when they are in cardiac arrest. When someone suffers a cardiac arrest the heart stops and blood is no longer being pumped around their body. The longer they go without emergency life-support, the harder it is to restart their heart. This is where you and your community could make a difference. Sign up today.
The new defibrillators were funded by Calne Town Council and Calne Area Board.
