Bookstart Volunteer Vacancy
Do you love to read with your children?
Do you have 2 hours a week to help local families develop a love of reading?
Bookstart is a national programme that aims to encourage a love of books, stories and rhymes in children from as young an age as possible. Volunteers visit families in their own homes and local library to increase parents confidence, and encourage families to develop a regular reading habit.
No experience necessary as full training will be provided, however, volunteers should feel comfortable reading stories and rhymes out loud.
Please contact Vicky Watt, Volunteer Coordinator for more details and how to apply on 01249 464008, vickyw@therisetrust.org
