Summer Reading Challenge volunteers

17th May 2019, 11:58am | By Jo Harris |

We’re looking for outgoing and enthusiastic volunteers to support children taking part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge at Bradford on Avon Library.

Its a great way of improving your education and employment opportunities, giving you the chance to:

  • Gain experience and skills working with children
  • Encourage children to enjoy reading
  • Achieve accreditation towards Arts Award or D of E Award
  • Add volunteering experience to your CV or UCAS application
  • Support your local community
  • Have fun!

The Summer Reading Challenge runs from 13th July to 7th September, and we’re asking volunteers to commit to a minimum of 16 hours over the summer.

Parent/guardian permission is required for those aged under 18 (the minimum age for volunteers is 14)

Contact Bradford on Avon Library for more information (tel. 01225 863280 / libraryenquiries@wiltshire.gov.uk)
