The BoA Fairtrade Festive Christmas Cake

BoA Fairtrade  Festive Christmas Cake
As part of Bradford-On-Avon’s Christmas Lights Switch on which will take place on Friday 26 th November between 4.00 and 8.30 pm the BoA Fairtrade Group supported by the staff of the Co-op BoA Bridge Yard  look forward to seeing you at the store to discuss all things Fairtrade, encourage you to make a Fairtrade pledge which will be displayed in store as well as viewing the Fairtrade ingredients available to purchase at your local Co-op and  last but not least to inspire those yet to make their Christmas cake to use Fairtrade ingredients wherever possible.

So, it’s not too late to bake….. A cake made by a member of the BoA Fairtrade group  who followed the easy recipe which has been developed and used for many years by Maureen Breeze the Co-op Pioneer for Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge and Norton St Phillip  was then expertly decorated by Maureen and Shirley Llewellyn a staff member at the Bridge Yard store has been named  ‘Frosty ‘ and is already on display along with the ingredients required and copies of the recipe to pick up.

There will be an opportunity  to win this delicious, wonderful creation as the cake will be donated to The Hub to be raffled at their Christmas Coffee morning to be held on Friday 10 th December.

Choosing Fairtrade is a simple way to make a difference  to the lives of people who grow and produce the things we love, making trade fair. For shoppers it means high quality, ethically produced products.
