Wiltshire Council’s Stonehenge Area Board extends a warm welcome to individuals, community groups, voluntary and statutory organisations for the community meeting on Thursday 30th June at 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome and there will be tea, coffee and biscuits on offer!
The main topic for discussion at this friendly community meeting will be to listen to your top priorities for action over the coming year. Stonehenge Area Board works with community groups and partners, often with some funding attached, to tackle a range of issues identified by the community though our consultation. We are often out and about listening to groups at meetings, through our sub-groups and undertaking questionnaire or face to face surveys on an ongoing basis to hear what the community has to say.
We will review our priorities at this meeting and hope that you will drop in to let us have your views. The top priorities that we are considering are:
Health and Wellbeing, particularly for vulnerable / older people
Young People – support young people through positive activities
Getting out and improved access – encouragement and support for people to take part in community life
Protect the Environment and reduce the carbon footprint
Within these priorities there are a number of key objectives which will form the basis of the Stonehenge Area Board workplan.
We will also be electing the Chair and Vice Chair of the Area Board at this meeting and we will be proving updates about the Area Board & funding and making decisions on grant applications received.
We hope to see you at Woodford Village Hall on Thursday 30th, 6.30pm.
