We are urgently looking for support from the local community to help care for the homes two pygmy goats, William & Harry. The home also has a number of other pets including cats and birds.
Pet Assistants can also spend time with residents talking about their past pets and helping them interact with the home pets. Our Pet Assistants recognise that keeping a pet at home and keeping a pet in a care home setting can be quite different, so they take guidance from the Home Team to ensure we’re looking after the safety and well-being of everyone; pets and people.
You’ll build up relationships with people and our pets so ideally, we’d like a regular, longer term commitment of a couple of hours a week. Days and times are flexible; talk to us and we’ll see what suits us both.
