Amesbury Area Board is looking for grant applications for community projects across the whole community area.
A wide variety of projects and initiatives have been funded including arts, sports, culture, heritage, village halls, community buildings and ICT & other equipment. As long as the project is for the benefit of the community, you may be eligible to apply.
The maximum grant that can be applied for is £5,000. For projects up to £1,000 there is no need for match funding, although some match funding is always preferred. For projects costing over £1,000, 50% match funding needs to be in place. Grants can be applied for at any time of the year and are decided at our area board meetings which take place every six to eight weeks. Further information is available here http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/council/areaboards/areaboardscommunitygrantsscheme.htm
Please note grants cannot be awarded retrospectively for projects that have already started.
Our Local Youth Network also makes recommendations to the area board to support projects that meet the needs of young people aged 13-19 ( or 25 if they have special needs). Further information is available here.http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/council/areaboards/communityyouthactivitiesgrants.htm
Our Health and Wellbeing grants scheme allows for start up funding for community initiatives that support older or vulnerable people in the community, with an emphasis on health and prevention of social isolation.
Please contact your Community Engagement Manager, Jacqui Abbott at email@example.com or ring 07771 844 530 for further information on all the grants schemes outlined.
Please note- The deadline for grant applications for the 12th September area board meeting is Friday 23 August
