CREAM TEA AND MUSIC

Avon Valley Choral Society is holding a ‘Cream Tea and Music’ event on

Saturday 8th June at Amesbury Methodist Church.

Starting from 2.30 pm, visitors will have an opportunity to listen to a programme of

English choral music including songs by Elgar, Sullivan and Parry, sung by the

choir, under their Musical Director, Simon Irwin.   The programme will include

instrumental solos and there will also be a chance to join in with some community

singing of some well known popular songs, along with the choir.

A selection of cakes including cream scones, tea and soft drinks will be served all

afternoon.

Tickets are £6 per head and will be available on the door.

Amesbury Methodist Church is in High Street, Amesbury. There is free parking at the

back of the church and the event will take place in the Communty Hall behind the

church.
