Amesbury Youth Worker and Volunteer event 1 July 6pm

9th April 2019, 12:34pm | By Jacqui |

Amesbury Area Board Local Youth Network (LYN) is hosting a networking & information event for anyone working with young people in the Community Area. The event is on Monday 1 July from 6pm until 8pm.  The venue is the newly refurbished Antrobus House in the town centre.  Cllr Darren Henry (Chair of the LYN) will be pleased to meet anyone working with young people in the Amesbury area.

There will be plenty of time for networking at the event- making sure that we all know about the opportunities that are available for our young people.   In addition, there will be short, snappy training sessions on Mental Health, exploitation and drugs to make sure that we are all equipped to support our young people in what can seem like challenging times.

This is a “save the  date” notice for anyone working with young people in the Amesbury Community Area.  This includes the surrounding villages of Berwick St James, Bulford, Cholderton, Durrington, Figheldean, Great Wishford,  Newton Toney, Shrewton, the Langfords, Woodford, the Winterbournes and Wylye.  The event is for paid youth workers and also volunteers.  Any youth activity is included whether this is traditional youth work  or other areas such as arts, music, sports, culture, health and wellbeing.  If you work with young people aged 13 to 19 (or up to 25 for disabled young people) please come along to the event.

Please contact me direct (Jacqui Abbott, Community Engagement Manager) f you would like to go onto our mailing list for this event.  Also, if you would like to be on our mailing list for the Local Youth Network.

Thank you
